Privacy Statement – Legitimate interests

For some of the data processing listed in the Privacy Statement, legitimate interest (art. 6.1 (f) GDPR) is invoked as legal basis.

For transparency purposes, the legitimate interests of Confo Therapeutics or third parties are listed on this page. Confo Therapeutics has assessed the purpose, the necessity of the processing to realize the purpose, has balanced the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subjects and taken some measures to limit the impact on the privacy of the data subjects. We believe that, partly given these measures, the interest of Confo Therapeutics outweighs the impact on the privacy of the data subjects, or that there is at least a balance between the interests involved.

1. Employee satisfaction survey

1.1. Processing: description

Collecting feedback from employees about Confo Therapeutics as an employer, in the context of an Employee Satisfaction Survey, conducted by a third party company and anonymized by them.

The satisfaction survey is justified because collecting and analyzing employee feedback helps improve the work environment and thus increase employee well-being.

2. Evaluation of employee performance

2.1. Processing: description

Collection of performance data for evaluation purposes.

2.2. Interests of Confo Therapeutics, justifying the processing

The evaluation is justified because it helps:

  • improve employee performance;
  • make informed and informed decisions regarding promotions and salary increases.

In this way, a productive working environment and fair treatment of employees are ensured. This is in the interest of Confo Therapeutics as an employer, but also in the interest of the employees themselves.

3. Pictures taken in our facilities, for our Website

3.1. Processing: description

  • Directors and department heads appear on the website with a photo, a self-written text (biography) and their name;
  • Employees (“Confo ambassadors”) can send in a quote about their experience working at Confo Therapeutics and have a photo taken and then appear on the website with their name, that photo and quote;
  • Use of photos of teams during work.

3.2. Interests of Confo Therapeutics, justifying the processing

The use of photos taken on the work floor gives Confo Therapeutics a face and makes the company more human and approachable. This also applies to the use of quotes and a photo of Confo ambassadors and the showing of a portrait photo, name and short biography of directors and department heads. Moreover, this further demonstrates the expertise that Confo Therapeutics has in-house.

All this is part of a rebranding, in which the photos, names and text strengthen the professional image of Confo Therapeutics and increase the trust of external parties and (potential) partners.

4. Sharing with third parties: due diligence

4.1. Processing: description

Sharing with potential buyers various documents containing personal data (accounting information, contracts, securities registers, organizational charts and information relating to employees and consultants) that are necessary for them to investigate the desirability of an acquisition or investment.

4.2. Interests of Confo Therapeutics and potential buyers, justifying the processing

To finance its activities, Confo Therapeutics is talking to potential investors. This can lead to a due diligence, in which certain documents are shared with the potential buyer.

Sharing documents in the context of due diligence is justified because thorough and accurate due diligence is required for the potential buyer to make an informed decision.

Changes

Confo Therapeutics may update this part of the Privacy Statement from time to time in order to reflect new types of processing based on legitimate interests or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
